Aquantic Norge Deep Diver
Here we have a completely new solution for sea anglers who are after big fish in Norway or Iceland. The Deep Diver is a rubber fish with a lead core cast into it. Thus we combine the advantage of the active swimming action of rubber lures with the ability to offer the lure at great depths. Two optional eyelets allow hooking in the mouth area for pilking or on the top of the head for vertical techniques or jigging or even trolling. The Deep Diver is equipped with extra strong snap rings and VMC 8650 Permasteel hooks that speak for themselves. Large halibut, cod, tusk and ling are its main prey. Five different lures with different weights are included in the set. These five lures come in four colours.

A targeted halibut lure that also hooks big cod etc.
For baiting: The Kveitejig is lowered to the bottom in 10 to 150 m deep water and lifted 3-5 times 1 m (pilk movement) then it is turned without stopping at medium crank speed to the surface and lowered again. The bites sometimes come only 10 m below the water surface even if it is e.g. 100 m deep. This is because the predatory fish pursue their prey over a longer period of time. If you have a bite contact that doesn't stick, you have to keep cranking and NOT stop or you will unsettle the predator and it will turn away. If you continue to reel in consistently after a missed bite, you will get another bite a little later, which you can then convert. You can also cast the Kveitejig, it doesn't have the characteristic to get tangled or twisted!
It also catches with normal pilking or other lures. The described lure is geared towards the hunting behaviour of halibut, and is therefore recommended for targeted halibut fishing. - by Kay Germany -
