The rig is equipped with an octopus, which works best at depths of 30 to 500 metres at an appropriate distance from the boat. A spinner blade attracts more fish and triggers additional pressure waves. It is particularly suitable for cod, tusk and ling. The line has a thickness of 0.80 mm and the hook used is a circle hook size 7/0. The system is mainly mounted on a Sea-Boom. The circle hook causes the fish to hook itself so that no strike is required. The leader is baited with a fish feeder. A metal Sea-Boom is used in weak currents and a Sea-Boom as a run-through system in strong currents.
