The DAIWA 23 Caldia SW is the latest sea reel, which has been especially developed for demanding cod, halibut, coalfish and pollack fishing as well as for medium-heavy fishing for amberjack and mahi mahi. With its MQ reel body and extra strong gearing, this reel offers impressive performance and resilience.
MQ reel body: The monocoque aluminum reel body allows the use of a significantly larger gearbox, resulting in enormous retrieving power and resilience. This makes the Caldia SW the ideal choice for big fish.
Tough Digigear gearing: The special, larger teeth on the drive wheel improve power transmission and increase both the smooth running and the service life of the reel, allowing you to fish reliably even under extreme conditions.
Magsealed construction: The innovative Magsealed technology on the axle prevents the ingress of salt water and dirt particles, which greatly reduces the risk of corrosion inside the reel.
ATD drag system: The ATD drag system in conjunction with carbon fiber brake discs ensures optimum line release under load, high braking power and a long service life, so that you remain in control even with strong runs.
Ergonomic crank handle: The extra strong aluminum crank handle and large T-Shape crank knob provide a comfortable grip and allow for effortless handling, even during long days of fishing.
