The WFT SEA SPARROW Travel range is purpose-built for Norway and designed to cover the full spectrum of fjord lure fishing. These are true target-species travel rods for anglers who want compact transport without sacrificing strength, guide reliability, or on-the-water performance.
With modern carbon blanks in a striking titanium finish, the SEA SPARROW rods feel remarkably light and balanced—ideal for active techniques such as jigging. Guide spacing is chosen to work with both spinning reels and multiplier (baitcasting/boat) reels, giving you flexibility depending on your preferred setup.
WFT LTC 1 guides – turning the weak point into the strongest link
Many rods fail at the guides. WFT tackles that head-on with LTC 1 technology: the “1” stands for guides made entirely from a single piece of steel, with no welded or soldered joints. The guides are stamped, formed and embossed in a progressive tool process, making them exceptionally robust—so the guide train becomes a true strength of the rod.
The rods also feature quality screw reel seats, highly durable EVA/foam (moss rubber) grips, and an extra-large, reinforced hook keeper capable of holding even large hooks securely.
Travel-ready: under 60 cm packed length
All travel models are 4-piece rods with a packed length below 60 cm (approx. 58–59 cm). They fit easily into a small suitcase and—where permitted—can even be carried as hand luggage.
