Product information "SØVIK Natural Bait 016 Halibut Rig 400g"
SØVIK Natural Bait Halibut Rig 400g – Ready-Made Rig for Whole Baitfish
The SØVIK Natural Bait Halibut Rig 400g is a premium ready-made natural bait rig for targeted halibut fishing. It is specifically designed for fishing with whole baitfish and built for demanding Norwegian saltwater conditions.
The SØVIK Natural Bait series consists of proven quality rigs made from strong leader material and reliable components. No need to tie your own rig – simply bait up and send it down.
The rig includes a 400g Flying Eye weight, a heavy-duty split ring, a ball bearing swivel and a 2-meter 1.2mm mono leader.
At the end of the leader, spaced approximately 20 cm apart, are:
- a strong Catfish hook size 9/0
- a stinger treble hook size 4/0
The rig is baited with a whole fish: the nose is attached to the front hook, while the stinger is placed in the back of the baitfish. This creates a natural presentation and improves hook-up chances.
Important: A strong mono or fluorocarbon leader is recommended between the braid mainline and the SØVIK Halibut Rig.
