PENN Squall® Lever Drag 2 Speed – Two-Speed Conventional Reel for Heavy Saltwater Fishing
The PENN Squall® Lever Drag 2 Speed series combines high strength with relatively low weight and is designed for demanding fishing situations where power and control are essential.
Its lightweight graphite frame and sideplates provide excellent rigidity while keeping overall weight manageable during long days on the water.
A key feature is the Quick-Shift™ two-speed system. The high gear provides fast line recovery, while the low gear delivers increased cranking power for lifting heavy rigs or fighting powerful fish. Switching between gears allows the reel to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
The finely adjustable lever drag works together with PENN's Dura-Drag system to provide smooth and consistent drag pressure during long, demanding fights.
A forged and machined aluminium spool features Line Capacity Rings, allowing the angler to quickly see whether the spool is approximately one-third, two-thirds or fully loaded.
Stainless-steel main and pinion gears, four stainless-steel bearings and a Double-Dog Anti-Reverse system provide dependable power transmission and durability.
Three reel sizes cover a wide range of heavy-duty applications, from the versatile IGFA16 to the powerful IGFA50 with up to 18.1 kg / 40 lb maximum drag.
