PENN Overseas XT II Jigging 1.55 m

PENN Overseas XT II Jigging 1.55 m – Heavy-Duty Speed Jigging Travel Rod up to 400 g

The PENN Overseas XT II Jigging is designed for anglers who demand uncompromising strength and control when targeting powerful saltwater predators with heavy jigs.

Whether speed jigging for hard-fighting amberjack or large tuna, this compact jigging rod delivers the reserve power and fighting control required for demanding offshore applications.

At its core is a high-modulus carbon blank with an exceptionally powerful backbone. Its fast action provides direct and precise lure control, while the strong blank construction ensures excellent power for solid hooksets and intense fights.

The short rod length of 1.55 m is particularly beneficial during speed jigging. It allows heavy metal jigs to be worked efficiently and provides excellent control during powerful vertical retrieves.

At the same time, the shorter lever helps the angler maintain direct pressure when fighting large fish, reducing unnecessary strain during demanding battles.

Additional strength is provided by X-Wrap carbon reinforcement, supporting the blank under extreme loads.

High-quality Fuji® Alconite guides with strong stainless-steel frames provide reliable line management and excellent durability in demanding saltwater conditions.

A standout feature is the heavy-duty aluminium gimbal at the rod butt. It allows secure positioning in a suitable fighting belt and is designed to handle the high pressure encountered when battling powerful offshore fish.

An ergonomically shaped high-density EVA handle provides a secure and comfortable grip, even when wet, ensuring dependable control throughout long fishing sessions and intense fights.

With a maximum jig rating of 400 g, the Overseas XT II Jigging is ideal for heavy vertical and speed jigging from a boat.

The practical two-piece construction provides a transport length of only 100 cm, making the rod convenient for international fishing trips.

A Cordura travel rod tube is included to protect the rod during transport.

Combining exceptional power, compact dimensions and premium components, the PENN Overseas XT II Jigging is an excellent choice for serious offshore anglers targeting large saltwater species.
