The PENN Squadron III Halibut Casting Rod measures 2.40 m and features a slim High Modulus 24T carbon blank with a powerful backbone. Rated at 20–30 lb with a 150–400 g lure weight range, it provides plenty of reserve power for large fish while remaining comfortable and controlled. Saltwater-resistant components, ten guides, an ergonomic high-density EVA handle and capped gimbal complete the rod.

The PENN Squall 20 Level Wind is a robust multiplier reel featuring a reliable level-wind line guide, lightweight graphite frame and finely adjustable Versa-Drag system with HT-100™ drag washers. Its 4.9:1 gear ratio retrieves 70 cm of line per handle turn, while maximum drag is 6.8 kg.

Completing the set is PENN Slammer Braid PE x8 Multicolor in PE4. The 8-strand braid has a stated diameter of 0.29 mm, breaking strain of 40 lb / 18.14 kg and comes on a 400 m spool.

The colour changes every 10 m with an additional white mark every 5 m, making it easy to monitor fishing depth when jigging, pilking or fishing natural baits.
