The Iron Claw Slim Jim Non Toxic UV 7 cm is the next generation of the well-known Slim Jim, combining its proven catching properties with an exceptionally durable and environmentally responsible soft-bait material.

Developed in cooperation with Moby Softbaits, the Slim Jim has been redesigned as a 100 % non-toxic version. Only harmless and environmentally compatible materials are used. The plasticiser used in the material is also utilised in medical and baby-care applications.

One of the major advantages of the new material is its exceptional durability. According to the manufacturer, the bait can last approximately 100 times longer than conventional soft plastics. This means fewer damaged baits need to be replaced, helping to reduce waste while also providing excellent value.

Despite its toughness, the Slim Jim remains flexible and retains the characteristic action for which this lure series is known. Its resilient material is also highly resistant to damage caused by predatory fish teeth.

Every Slim Jim Non Toxic colour is UV active, creating an additional visual stimulus in low light, cloudy water or greater depths.

A particularly unusual colour is Hot Herring (HHR), where even a blue lure has been successfully designed to produce strong UV activity.

For easy rigging, the Slim Jim features an integrated hook channel. Additional markings on the back of the lure indicate the correct exit point for jig hooks of different sizes.

These markings have been designed to match Iron Claw Performance Round Heads. Exact positioning cannot be guaranteed when using jig heads from other manufacturers.

The material is odourless and does not leave oily or greasy residue on your hands during rigging.

Another major advantage is its high buoyancy. The Slim Jim is a floating soft bait, making it possible to present the lure standing up or lifted above the bottom when rigged appropriately.

Production also focuses on short transport distances and a favourable environmental footprint. According to the manufacturer, the lure, packaging and associated components are produced regionally in Germany within approximately 50 km of Sänger.

Important Storage Information

Moby and Slim Jim Non Toxic soft baits can safely be stored together with other Moby Softbaits.

However, they should not be stored together with conventional soft plastics made from other material compounds, as the different materials may react with each other.

Extra Tip

If a lure becomes deformed during storage, the manufacturer recommends briefly heating or boiling it in water. This can allow the bait to return to its original shape within a short period of time.
