This Fladen flotation suit is arguably the lightest suit on the market without compromising safety. This one-piece suit offers the same buoyancy and thermal protection as other Fladen flotation suits. It is ISO 12402-6 certified as a flotation suit (life jackets and buoyancy aids for special purposes) and ISO 15027-1 certified as protective clothing against hypothermia in water (very important).
One of the requirements of the ISO 15027-1 certification standard is that the body temperature must not drop by more than 2°C after one hour in 5°C water. Test results for the Fladen flotation suits showed a drop of only 1.2°C. One-piece flotation suits are advantageous for maintaining body temperature because the slowly penetrating water circulates poorly and is warmed by body heat, acting as an insulating layer. A swimsuit for protection against the initial shock of cold water and as a buoyancy aid. The garments are made from a lightweight and flexible material that ensures high comfort and mobility while being windproof and water-repellent.
