FLADEN Conrad Halibut Rig - Kutscher-System
The Conrad halibut rig is specially designed for use with baitfish. It has a treble hook size 3/0 and a sliding single hook size 7/0. The length is 2 metres and the line has a diameter of 1.2 mm. The sliding single hook allows you to adapt the leader to the use of different baitfish sizes. The system is available in two sizes of 300g and 350g.
The single hook is attached to the head of the baitfish and the treble hook to the rear third of the baitfish so that the fish still moves seductively. Simply let the system sink to the bottom and then retrieve it 2-3 metres. This allows the baitfish to play seductively one to two metres above the bottom, attracting the attention of predators close to the bottom such as halibut, cod or ling.
