The DAIWA TANACOM ULTRA DEEP has been specifically developed for uncompromising deep-sea fishing with electric and heavy multiplier reels. Fishing extreme depths with heavy sinkers requires a rod that combines exceptional strength with reliable bite detection – and this is exactly where the TANACOM ULTRA DEEP excels.

With a length of 2.10 m and a casting weight range of 400 to 1000 g, the rod is ideally suited to fishing depths from approximately 150 m to more than 250 m. The powerful HVF carbon blank comfortably handles weights of up to 1000 g while providing the strength required to fight large deep-water species.

One of the rod’s standout features is its contrasting, comparatively soft tip. Even subtle bites at extreme depths can be detected clearly. At the same time, the softer tip helps cushion sudden movements of the fish during retrieval, reducing the risk of hook pulls.

The Medium Fast action combines a sensitive tip section with a powerful lower blank, providing an excellent balance between bite detection, lure or bait control and fighting strength.
